INTERN
Adventus Partners is looking for an intern or co-op to assist with research and analytics in support of client engagements. The incumbent will have the opportunity to work on engagements across our advisory services for a broad group of prominent private and public life science clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As an Intern you will have the ability to assume significant responsibilities related to supporting client deliverables. Examples of activities the incumbent will do include:
- Conducting market research
- Identifying and tracking our clients’ competitors
- Building financial and market models
- Reviewing and summarizing clinical literature
- Developing presentations that summarize research and recommendations
- Analyze industry and market developments to help frame client
strategies
QUALIFICATIONS:
We are looking for Juniors / “Rising Seniors” and Seniors with strong interests in the biotech, life sciences, healthcare field and business. Our interns generally study: Biology, Chemistry, Bio / Chemical Engineering, Pre Med, and Economics. Other qualifications include:
- Intellectual curiosity and problem solving skills
- Very strong analytical skills – quantitative and qualitative
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail orientation and organizational skills
- Self-starter with an ability to work independently
- Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization
Internship position is a paid position. During the summer or for the students doing co-ops we hire full-time interns for the duration of their time off from school. During the school year, there is an opportunity for the interns to continue to work 10-15 hours per week and to be able to work remotely as necessary.
ASSOCIATE
Adventus is looking for an experienced Associate to help with a diverse set of client deliverables. The incumbent will have the opportunity to interact with client’s senior management and board of directors and be an integral part of a rapidly growing consulting business.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
As an Associate you will rapidly assume significant responsibilities related to client deliverables and provide advisory services to a broad group of private and public life science clients.
- Build and maintain financial models to evaluate historical information and generate
projections. - Conduct market research, build patient based models and valuation analysis of biotech,
medtech or diagnostics products and companies. - Prepare client presentations that effectively synthesize recommendations derived from
market research, modeling, valuation and risk assessments. - Help clients understand, analyze, and make decisions in response to various business
opportunities and challenges. - Help with financial planning deliverables such as forecasts, budgets and strategic longrange
plans. - Remain current on the Healthcare sector and market developments to help frame client
strategies.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting,
corporate development or similar role where you performed analysis and valuations of
companies - Superior valuation and modeling skills and high proficiency in building presentations
- Excellent communicator with strong business acumen
- Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization
- Self-starter with an ability to work independently
- Strong interest and passion for the life science industry
