Situation
Adventus was engaged by a biotech with multiple assets in the late stage of clinical development to help develop an investment plan to build internal GMP manufacturing plant in anticipation of companies’ first commercial launch.
Adventus Role and Outcome
In collaboration with management, we developed sophisticated multi-year investment plan. Our most impactful contribution was cash outlay forecast that accommodated for flexibility to decelerate or accelerate spend based on outcome of few upcoming critical milestones. We provided ongoing financial support and designed reporting and planning process that provided visibility. This helped minimized spend discrepancies between actual results and the investment plan. Outcome: upon positive clinical read out of its lead program, the client was well positioned to rapidly accelerate building of the manufacturing facility, while retaining high level of visibility and control of the required investment.
